Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Booster Club?
The Stagg Athletic Booster Club is an organization composed of parents, staff, alumni, and friends that support all sports programs at Amos Alanzo Stagg High School by raising money to purchase supplies, equipment, uniforms, and capital items beyond what the school athletic budget provides. It is our hope that each sport including the pom pon and cheerleading squads have an adult representative on the Booster Club Board of Directors and attending monthly club meetings.
Why should I join?
By becoming a Booster Club member, you not only will help our young athletes have a more enjoyable and rewarding high school experience, but you also will make new friends and get satisfaction in knowing you have enriched the Stagg community.
What's a Sports Rep?
A Sports Rep is a member of the Stagg Booster Club who, in addition to the responsibilities as a Booster Club member, has agreed to participate in fundraising activities of the Booster Club and act as a liaison between the Booster Club and a sport. The Sport Rep will actively communicate with the coaching staff of the sport to assure a successful program. This will include coordinating annual funding requests of the coaches of that sport. The Sport Rep will also communicate with team parents in the coordination of fundraising activities, help in the coordination of other team activities as needed, and report significant team events at Booster Club meetings.
How is money raised?
Money is raised through memberships, Spirit Wear sales, our annual Pom Pon competition, and concession sales at athletic events. You are invited to volunteer your time and energy to support these fundraising events.
Thanks to the many parents who have joined us to help our athletes.
When are the meetings?
Our meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at Stagg High School at 7:00pm. All are welcome. Look for us in the teachers lounge.
